Main title and logo animations for the 11th Friss Hús Budapest Short Film Festival.
The Fresh Meat Film Festival contacts the media design department at the MOME university every year to have students create motion content that would serve as a transition between two film screenings.
I was one of the students whose works were selected and eventually screened at the Fresh Meat Film Festival.
I created 8 animations, out of which 6 were thematically connected to the genres that could be submitted for the festival.
I primarily drew the symbolism of the main title to the location of the festival since, to my knowledge, the logo is partly based on it (the Budapest coat of arms features a lion). However, there was a specific requirement that meat should not be depicted in the image.
That's why I came up with the idea of having the main title composed of a long panorama of Budapest, spanning across the iconic Várhegy Tunnel, Chain Bridge and the Puskin Cinema. I made sure to include the Friss Hús logo in some form in every scene. I am particularly proud of the lion heads on the Chain Bridge, where the heads of the lions essentially form the Friss Hús logo.

...and for some reason, it was only after I finished drawing that I realized the festival will be held at the Puskin Cinema instead of the Corvin. Well, if it ever happens to be at the Corvin, at least it's already drawn :D
